Heat Conduction as a Non-Equilibrium Problem

In this talk I will discuss a Boltzmann-like method to analyze a
deterministic model of heat conduction. I will show both analytical and
numerical studies of a simple 1-dimensional model of a row of scatterers
coupled at each end to a heat bath. This model has both energy and mass
transport, and can be rigorously discussed. My talk is based on work with
Pierre Collet and Carlos Mejia-Monasterio
