A Linear Scaling Algorithm for Molecular Mechanics Model

Abstract:
In this talk, I will introduce a linear scaling algorithm for models arising
from the molecular mechanics models. Numerical results will be reported
for the homogeneous deformation as well as the inhomogeneous deforma-
tion. The tests for the homogeneous deformation include one-dimensional
tension, tension and shear tests for Aluminum. The tests for the inhomo-
geneous deformation include tension for Aluminum with vacancy and the
nanoindentation.
